Chanellé Vlok is a dynamic and vibrant, South African born Milliner who trades under the name “Cloche”. With her unique taste for trend setting ideas and concepts, she is ready to give South African fashion something to be proud of.
After completing her Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design at LISOF, Johannesburg born designer attended a millinery course at Jkmillinery in Cape Town, before interning with world-renowned New York based milliner Albertus Swanepoel. She is passionate about being part of re-establishing millinery and creating a new consciousness for fashion accessories across the country.
Over the years she has collaborated with designers such as Vesselina Pentcheva, Roman Handt, Joel Janse van Vuuren, Naked Ape and Black Coffee. She has also been afforded the opportunity to work with brands such as Clorets, J&B, Red Square and Wella, to name a few .
Her items are unique and hand crafted with a twist of vintage. She wants to reach out to individuals, who have an eye for different exclusive headpieces.
Her Spring/Summer 2014 Collection is based on the milliner’s playground, allowing you to experience the amusing process of creating headpieces. These designer headpieces become a platform where haute couture becomes ready-to-wear where elements, yet adapting it to each individual look.
